INSPIRATIONS: I am inspired by the 4 agreements: Be impeccable with your word, Take nothing personally, Assume nothing, Do your best. I am delighted by the sense of community yoga creates, by the dedication to self realization, and the ability of people to accept failure and truly succeed.
WHY I PRACTICE: I love to get on my mat and deal with whatever life tosses my way. I feel grounded, balanced, and joyful and know I am unique. If yoga teaches us nothing else, it opens us up to possibility, potential, patience and playfulness.
WHY I TEACH: My passion for teaching evolved through my nursing experience; I am a caregiver! Each individual teaches me things I never would have learned through training or books. I have tremendous satisfaction by observing so many people step on their mat and connect, flourish, and find their way to the wonderful community that is YOGA!

Joya Founder, Teacher, Mentor
Wild Ember combines the love for my family & community, with my passion for music & movement. I (she/her) am a queer femme mom of two, musician, yoga teacher and community builder.
My personal mantra during my teacher training with Prana Power Yoga was "Kindness, Stability, Flow". Those three words still resonate with me and I come back to them daily. My classes are invigorating flows, focused on breath, alignment and self acceptance, sprinkled with humor and yogic philosophy.
I am passionate about creating a brave space for ALL. Equity, anti-racism and walking the walk is a core value for me and the fuel that drives me! I am committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in our yoga community, and strongly believe that yoga is for all bodies. I am SUPER PROUD of our teaching team and the community that we are building together. WELCOME!!

Rahima works in global health and focuses on increasing access to life-saving health commodities for low-income countries. She loves to travel, cook, and dote on her sweet parrot, Sebastian.

Rejeni Teacher
I practiced yoga intermittently in my adult life but had never fully committed, always leaving the mat for life’s other distractions. Balancing work in Corporate America and managing a family, I felt I didn’t have time to invest in myself. However, while life can sometimes get in the way, it also has a way to wake you up, and that is what happened to me. In 2018, I restarted my yoga practice to help recover from an injury after being in an accident; that is when I became a committed practitioner. In the beginning it was a physical journey but now has evolved into embracing the full depth of yoga, by integrating the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects into my daily life.
I completed my 200 Hour teacher training at Wonder Yoga in 2020 (during the pandemic!) under Nicole Siegel and Allison Jones. The teacher training was eye opening for me, as I connected the 8 limbs of yoga to my history, culture and to modern life. I believe the practice of yoga is for everyone and offers a path to focus one’s mind, connect with the body and breath, and maintain a balance in today’s overly stimulating and hectic world.
Being a yoga instructor allows me to continuously develop myself with the vast traditions and teachings in yoga. I have continued my yoga education with Khushi Malholtra in the Vinyasa Krama tradition and lineage of the Himalayan Institute, exploring pranayama and meditation.
I have an enthusiasm to share this knowledge and help others to develop their self-awareness and connection of the mind and body. Yoga is not only on the mat, but also a way of life that becomes embedded in our behavior and interactions and how we approach every day. When I am off the mat, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, extended family, and friends. Also, when I practice yoga, my dog usually joins me on the mat to show off his downward dog.
